Kids & Families

The children’s department offers resources and opportunities for the children, parents, teachers, homeschoolers and daycare providers of the Iola area throughout the year including special Summer Library Reading programs & events for the whole family.

June 11 - August 3

We want everyone to read but the amount is up to you. Write down how many minutes you read and bring your record back each week. This summer we will be reading for the Waupaca County Sheriff’s K-9 Unit. If you read every week of the program you will be able to make 8 donations that will make a difference in our community. Everyone who reads and returns every reading record will receive a prize.

June 11 - August 3

Pick up a STEAM packet for the whole family to try out at home. A new experiment will be handed out each week. Take pictures of your family doing the experiment and post them to our Facebook page.

We will have 18 kits available each Monday and will give out one STEAM packet per family per week.

Calculate how many items are in the jar. The person who comes closest to the correct amount in the jar will receive a prize.
