Discover the Nighttime Sky

Tuesday, January 21, 2020 - 7:00pm

Everyone is invited to the Iola Village Library to learn about the nighttime sky with teacher Bill Wendlandt. This is a free program for all ages.

Another Wisconsin winter is here. The nights are cold and dark and the skies are clear. At this time of year the heavens are at their best.  The best constellations and the brightest stars are out in all their glory. On January 21st we will learn about these constellations, how to locate and identify them.  We will also learn about the brightest stars.  Come to learn about our winter sky.  Dress warm and bring binoculars if you have them.  Weather permitting we will go outside and view the winter sky.  There will be handouts and door prizes.  Come for a fun family activity and learn a little astronomy.
